My name is Sophie and I’m an inclusive documentary style wedding photographer based out West Michigan.

I strive to capture all the honest heartfelt emotions of your day through a relaxed and genuine approach. I’ll be there to not only document your day but to remind you to take a breather, drink some water and most importantly be present with yourself and your loved ones.

My photography style is documentary focused with an artful lens. I like to think of myself as a fly on the wall 85% of the day, focusing on capturing your day as it unfolds naturally in front of me. I’ll move around YOU to get the shot - I’m not looking to take you out of the moment to reframe the scene for the “perfect” image. I will help direct and pose you as needed during family and bridal portraits but majority of the day I’ll be quietly snapping away in the background of all the hustle and bustle, savoring those truly candid smiles, ugly crying, belly laughs and everything in between.

My goal isn’t to have your photos featured in a wedding magazine or curated for Instagram trends - my goal is to have your photos featured in your family photo albums, shared and cherished for many many years.
